Today we are delighted to introduce you to Anaëlle: The power of the waves, the wind in your face and a strong will - that's how you could describe Anaëlle Pattusch's life. As a 21-year-old ocean racing skipper, she lives her passion on the open sea and at the same time embodies the values of NIKIN.
"Sailing is more than a sport - it's freedom."
Anaëlle Pattusch(@anaelle_pattusch) grew up on Lake Geneva, where the water has always been her playground. "I spent my childhood on our family boat and always enjoyed my vacations outdoors in nature," she says. Today, she steers her own sailing boat over the waves - a Figaro 3, which was specially developed for regattas.
In addition to her love of water, Anaëlle is a real sportswoman through and through. Whether skiing, cycling or diving - she loves any challenge. "I'm always looking for the next adventure and the feeling of discovering something new," she reveals with a smile.
A fun fact with a jump into the water
Anaëlle is an adventurer who doesn't like to wait. "As a child, I was often so excited to explore a new port that I simply jumped into the water before the boat docked," she recalls with a laugh. The fact that this didn't always go smoothly just shows how impatient and curious she was even back then.
"Oceans and trees are the lungs of our planet. Together we can make the world a little greener."
"The oceans are our playing field and it's up to us to protect them." As a sailor, Anaëlle has a close connection to nature, especially to water. For her, sustainability means taking action and to create awareness. "Collecting plastic, recycling sails and sensitizing people - these are just some of the initiatives that are close to my heart."
