TREEPLANTING

"TREE BY TREE", THIS IS HOW WE CHANGE THE WORLD - TOGETHER WITH YOU!

We have already planted over 2 million trees. What does that mean? Take a look!

WHY ARE OVER 2 MILLION MORE ON EARTH EVEN IMPORTANT?

  • 80% of all biodiversity on land is found in the forest
  • Worldwide, 350 million people live in or from the forest
  • 60 million people around the world, including many indigenous peoples, cannot live without forests
  • Trees provide shade, protect against soil erosion, floods and avalanches
  • Forests are important retreats for humans and animals
  • Trees filter pollutants from the air and water

...this list could go on and on! That is why it is important that we work together for more trees in the world.

THE HOW

For every NIKIN product you buy, we let our partner organization One Tree Planted plant a tree. We transfer the amounts in stages, as we look at the different projects and give your amount to the initiative that currently needs trees. 1 tree corresponds to 1 dollar or Swiss franc, which we take from your order amount and give to next . How One Tree Planted uses this contribution, you can read here.

THE WHY

There are several reasons why new trees are needed in our projects: Forest fires and other environmental disasters, increasing soil erosion, promotion of biodiversity, food security for the population, climate protection and reforestation due to past clearing.

THE WHERE

The location of your tree depends on where new trees are needed. It is important to us that you know where your tree is. That's why we created the TreeTracker . It gives you an insight into the history of your tree. You find out for which project it is used and how the local population benefits from it.

YOUR TREE CERTIFICATE

The tree certificate is made from sugar cane waste, after all we plant trees instead of cutting them down. It is included with every order if you indicate that you would like to receive it. It's great that you're planting a tree that you'll probably never see for yourself. With the tree certificate, you can still hold your good deed in your hands.
