Tarefas Coloridas produces TreeHoodies, TreeSweaters, TreeChino Shorts, TreeJamas, TreeSweatPants, TreeShorts Women, TreePolos, TreeBoxer Shorts and TreeShirts for NIKIN. The family business has been in existence for 10 years. The couple Aldina and Avelino Pinto, their daughter Daniela and son-in-law Pedro run the company. 16 employees work either 40 (full-time) or 20 (half-time) hours per week for Tarefas Coloridas. The company produces the patterns itself and cuts, sews and dyes the raw materials itself. The finished products are also packed and dispatched in-house. The raw material sources for NIKIN products are GOTS-certified or part of the GOTS project. Electricity from conventional sources is used to manufacture the clothing. However, solar panels are planned on the roof of the factory. Waste such as plastic and cardboard is separated. An ETAR filter system purifies the water used for dyeing.
