You know it: you're exploring new places alone orwith your loved ones and you're looking for the seclusion of nature. But nope! The trail is completely crowded and there are countless tourists.

1. Val Cama: the place where the trees areprotected!

We'll start right away with our favorite. Val Cama, located south of the Alps, has been a natural forest reserve since 2007! Until 2057, no moretrees will be cut down or otherwise interfered with by humans. We are thrilled!
The area stretches for 15 kilometers and goes up to 2200 meters. Therefore, it is not surprising that you can hike wonderfully in the region. Our favorite: the two-lake hike from Cama. After 2.5 hours you reach Lagh Camaand if you still haven't had enough, you continue up to Lagh de Sambrog at 2076meters

You can't get higher than the Swiss Alps in this country, but the Jurain the lowlands also offers a lot. For example, the Fricktaler Höhenweg: fromMettnau via Frick to Rheinfeld, the hike along the Höhenweg takes up to 16hours. In total it is 60 kilometers. If you like to hike long distances, youcan plan several days for an excursion here. Families with children canexperience the Höhenweg in one section. The short hike from Bürersteig over theLaubberg (648 meters) to the wine-growing village of Mettau takes about 2.5hours and offers fireplaces halfway through the hike.
