The crowdinvesting was a complete success: more than 4,000 new owners and an incredible 5 million Swiss francs in just a few weeks. Today we look back and give you together with NIKIN co-founder Nicholas Hänny a little insight into how the crowdfunding went behind the scenes.
Hey Nicholas, Hand on Heart: What were your expectations of crowdinvesting before the launch?
Nicholas: "We wanted to take one to two million and wereen and we were pretty confident that we could do it. But the fact that we will reach the maximum target before the end of the campaign before the end of the campaign, I would not have thought."
Looking back, how did you experience crowdinvesting?
Nicholas: "Before the start I was quite nervous. I knew, that with over 200,000 customers in Switzerland, we had a good chance of a successful campaign.. Shortly before the start of the public campaign on December 9, 2022, the investments went down again quite a bit, and I became again restless."

What was the biggest learning for NIKIN?
Nicholas: "We can rely on our community and we have an enormous number of customers who believe in NIKIN and want to support us. In addition, I also believe that us the strengthens us enormously as a brand. We bind a part of the best customers and customers closer to NIKIN, let them share in the success. This welds together!"
Did anything else surprise you?
Nicholas: "Yes, we have created different reward packages where, for example, you get a goodie bag from NIKIN when you reach certain amounts. From 50,000 CHF we have decided that Robin and I, as founders, will privately come by and plant a tree in the garden. We have this planned this, because we thought it was a fun idea, but didn't think anyone would invest at that level. Why did NIKIN choose the platform conda decided?

Five million is a lot of money - what happens to it now?
