Time flies - it's hard to believe that we are already at the end of another chapter in NIKIN's history. As we do every year, we take a moment to pause, look back and review the most beautiful, exciting and inspiring moments. We select the highlights that have made us particularly proud, inspired and motivated us.
Deep connection with nature
The year began with a small but special product that fits perfectly with NIKIN: our own Pfadi foulard. Why this? Our founders Nicholas and Robin - or rather, Zazoo and Simba - were in the Scouts themselves for a long time. Having their own NIKIN foulard was a small dream come true for them. We continued with a tribute to the Swiss mountains: we immortalized the impressive panorama of the Churfirsten in our Mountain Panorama Collection.
Another highlight was the TreeShirt Ecosystem, which contains a lot of Swiss forest. The idea for this was born during a walk in the forest - and the trees planted for it were planted in Switzerland to match.
A year of innovations
In addition to impressive prints, we are particularly proud of the launch of our first rain jacket. Equipped with Sympatex® technology, it is made in Europe from 100% recyclable materials and is waterproof even in the most adverse conditions. It is the perfect companion for any outdoor adventure.
Equally revolutionary were our circular productswhich can be recycled again and again without any loss of quality. Best of all, as soon as they are worn out, we buy them back thanks to our "Circular Cashback" program and return them to the cycle. This sends a clear signal for the future: by 2030, we want to make all our products circular - a big step for NIKIN and the environment.
Trees, trees, trees... and more trees
After reaching the milestone of two million trees planted last year, we made an ambitious start to 2024. Our goal: to break the three million mark. Although we have not yet achieved this goal, we have planted over 250,000 new trees in 13 countries - some of them even in Switzerland. We are particularly proud of our TreePlanting Day in Krauchtal, in the canton of Bern, where we planted around 300 trees together with QoQa and the community.
Another topic that is close to our hearts will become reality in 2025: our own flagship store. From spring, our products and employees will move to the TreeHouse in Aarau. There you can experience us up close, try on products and enjoy a woodland shopping experience. enjoy.
From head to toeß - NIKIN is everywhere
Our community was also an inexhaustible source of inspiration in 2024. One customer showed us pictures of children's dresses she had made herself from old NIKIN shirts. We also selected another winner of our crowd design competition and our gallery of NIKIN tattoos continues to grow.
NIKIN was not only present under the skin, but also on it: be it on the The feet of astronaut Marco Sieber, on the head in the show 7 vs. Wild, or on the chest of American-Korean superstar Woosung Kim.
