On the Green Friday weekend, we plant two trees per product sold instead of one. In doing so, we are doubling the positive impact on nature instead of taking part in the extreme price wars surrounding Black Friday. With Green Friday instead of Black Friday, we also want to make our contribution to a rethink and more conscious consumption. We have been celebrating Black Friday weekend for several years now. The campaign usually lasts the whole weekend and is very popular with our community and beyond.

DOUBLE IMPACT ON THE ENVIRONMENT

Normally, we plant one tree for every product sold - on the Green Friday weekend, we even plant two. To give you an idea of the impact of planting twice as many trees, here are some sample calculations:

Oxygen

A small tree around 20 meters high produces around 10,000 liters of oxygen per day. That's enough for about five to ten people who need between 500 and 2,000 liters of oxygen per day. If you buy a NIKIN product at Green Friday , your two planted trees could produce oxygen for up to 20 people in the future.

Dust filter

Trees are not considered green lungs for nothing, as they filter particles and dust from the air through their leaves and needles. One tree filters up to 100 kilograms of dust from the air per year. So your two NIKIN trees together could filter up to 200 kilograms per year.

Animals

Trees are home to various animal species. In addition to various insects, woodpeckers, martens, dormice, squirrels and bird species also live in the trees - depending on the country and climate zone, the inhabitants naturally differ. Researchers estimate that there are about as many animals per tree as there are inhabitants in a medium-sized town. So at Green Friday , you can give an enormous number of animals a home with your trees.
