The TreeShirt Circular was developed in such a way that it can be repeatedly returned to the material cycle and recycled without compromising on quality. It consists of 96% biodegradable polyester naNea and 4% biodegradable elastane. This allows the microparticles to degrade in the environment instead of persisting in the long term. If it does need to be disposed of, it can be chemically recycled into raw materials for the next collection. The innovative naNea material degrades in seawater to over 93% within 99 days (according to ASTM D6691-17). Thanks to the Cradle to Cradle Certified® Gold certification and the use of naNea, the shirt leaves no harmful microparticles or residues behind. The striking orange embroidery on the hem symbolizes NIKIN's circular innovation and replaces the conventional flag label.
